Initially, his working experience and knowledge of Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, dates back to 2007, when Castlemilk Stables, (built in 1790), was restored. As a Trustee of Cassiltoun Trust, who own the building, he led the team that saw its restoration and journey into becoming a community hub and a fantastic building to be proud of. He has maintained an interest and relationship with the work of GBPT ever since. Soon after his initial appointment to the GBPT Board, he was asked to take on the role of Chair, and whilst holding this role supported the Trust through the covid pandemic and a period when we had no Staff Director in place. For the last twelve months, he has held the position of Vice-Chair and Company Secretary.
